A Registration URL for the Event is created once the creation is complete.  Access to online registration (Lite Page)

Once you are finished creating an Event, the system will automatically create a registration URL.  This online URL directs your audience directly to the Lite Page, which is where they will register online.  Your registrants will only be able to access the Lite Page if you give them this URL.

If you want to test your event's Lite Page before distributing it, copy and paste the registration URL into an incognito site (Control + Shift + N) which will ensure your information is not remembered by the computer.  This will create a contact.  If you register them right on the event page by clicking “create registration” it will add this contact into Flash Point as a member.  Staff creating registrations creates a contact, not a member.  Note the difference here:  a contact is simply a person record under Contacts while a member is a contact that has been given the Member Role, which allows the member to show on the Members grid as well.

Lite Page:  Page 1 Login

This Log In page is the first page of the Lite Page process.  The user can either Log In with their system credentials, or click 'Continue as Guest.'  If the user logs in with their credentials, their information will pre-populate throughout the online registration process and the event will appear on their profile page.  This is important if you want to track your members' attendance to events.  If the user continues as guest, this will create a duplicate profile in the system.  You will then have to merge their profiles in order for the event to appear on their member profile page.  These names are stored in Unverified Contacts.

Remember, if the user logs in this information will pre-populate.  If they click 'Continue as Guest' the fields will be blank.  The fields with an asterisk shows what is required for the user to fill out.  You are able to determine what is required when you are first initially creating the event.  When the user is done filling out their contact information, they click 'Continue.'

When a person registers via the Lite Pages, and enters a new address, and they do not currently have one on file, the system adds and tags this as their default address.  When a person enters a new address, different from the one they currently have on file, the system adds the new address but does not mark it as default.

The next screen the user will see is the 'Select Tickets/Add Attendees' page.  This will show all of the Tickets you have created while setting up your event.  The Descriptions for each ticket you provided will be visible on this screen.  After the user selects what they want to purchase, they will click 'Update.'

Note: When registering for an event, the initial person added is called the registrant. The registrant is also considered the first attendee for the event, if tickets are selected for this person. If the registrant is someone that is not attending the event, simply click the update button, and then 'Add Attendee' in order to assign tickets to another individual. If the registrant is attending the event as an attendee, then select the appropriate tickets, and click 'Update' to proceed. The system will give you the option to end the registration process and generate the final order or to add another attendee.
